What Deneb is — and is not
Deneb is an independent educational reference and study aid for deck officers and cadets. It does not replace current official publications, approved training, professional judgment or your vessel’s procedures. Use official sources for operational decisions. Reading modes do not certify a display for bridge use. Deneb does not award any qualification or guarantee an exam result. References to an authority, convention or standard identify the subject; they do not imply endorsement.
Accuracy
Content may contain errors or be out of date. Deneb is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. Report a possible error to support@denebmaritime.com with the article title. The support address is not an emergency or navigational-assistance service.
Free content and Study passes
The reference library, search, glossary, diagrams, bookmarks, COLREG Mastery and the Lights & day shapes orals topic are free and not a timed trial. Optional Study passes (6 or 12 months) unlock the other available tracks and oral topics. Price and term are shown in the app before purchase. Passes do not auto-renew. A new pass bought while one is active extends the existing term. When a pass ends, free content and your local progress remain; paid topics need a new pass.
Purchases, restore, refunds
Purchases go through Apple’s in-app purchase system and require a connection; verified access then works offline. Restore Purchases is available in the app. Refunds for Apple purchases follow Apple’s refund process; eligibility depends on circumstances and applicable law. Nothing here excludes mandatory consumer rights.
Licence and content ownership
Use of the app is governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. Deneb’s original text, diagrams, lessons and questions are © Denys Bulakh. Third-party materials and fonts remain under their own licences; source references identify origin and transfer no ownership.
Governing law
Polish law applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection in your country of residence.
Changes
These terms will be finalised with an effective date before launch.
